There have been several experimental projects that have attempted to translate the setting of games like Nickel & Dime into a table top roleplaying game. These attempts have range wildly, moving back and fourth between strange concepts, and trying to find the right balance of how much elbow grease we would need to put in without impacting other projects too heavily. For a brief rundown of the most notable ones:
- A Savage Setting using the Savage Worlds system
- Ancient Aetherium Version 1, full of crunch and heavy on numbers, with it's own grotesque website
- The highly experiemental DECKS system with action/reaction stacking mechanics
- D54, which was just the DECKS system but much more focused on card drawing than hand management
- Bear SAGE, which was a heavily modified version of the SAGE system by Alkemyworks Games
